HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

STATEMENT OF MISSION

We believe God calls us to share the good news of Jesus Christ.  To be a faithful, growing church and strengthen congregational life for this mission, we work toward Christian unity, share Christ’s redeeming love that the human family might be made whole, welcome all people for worship and fellowship, and minister to the needs of others by sharing and caring.

A NEW VIEW

FROM THE BRIDGE

How Great Is Your Faith

Should this be a question or a statement?

A Canaanite woman went seeking Jesus to help her daughter.  “Have mercy on me” she says to Jesus.  The disciples wanted Him to send her away but her persistence paid off.  Jesus spoke to the woman and through the conversation Jesus found passion and strength in this woman and said to her, “Woman, great is your faith!”

(Matthew 15: 21-28)

We are embarking on a new journey together.  I will be serving you as your new pastor.  And you will be getting acquainted with me as your new preacher.  I look forward to discussions that will strengthen us, challenge us and bring us to new places.  I look forward to rejoicing in the good times with you, being by your side in the rough times and conquering all obstacles with you along the way.

I am excited to meet more members of the Red Bridge family of faith and to get to know each of you.  I will be in the office the week of June 9th, after serving a week as director for CYF conference at Tall Oaks.  I will be getting books on shelves, learning the computer & phone system, and trying to learn who you are, so please feel free to stop by for a cup of coffee or a cold drink or if you are like me, combine the coffee into a cold drink.  So please stop by and say, “Hi”.

I look forward to meeting and sharing ministry together.  One of the first things I was told about this congregation is that you like to eat good food.  My family and I were able to experience this first had at the Pot Luck lunch on the 18th.  Thank you for your hospitality that day and for such a great lunch.  I look forward to many, many more of those.

I also look forward to spending time with my church family doing things like learning the history of Red Bridge Christian Church, meeting families and, even for those interested, hitting some golf balls.

I can’t wait to start serving with you.

Shalom,

Rev. Sondra
